It was lucky. And it saved McGregor from a brutal beating. We all saw what Poirer did to McGregors leg. Aldo would have destroyed it, but got extremely unlucky and had a weak chin. It was barely a touch and he collapsed, shows that Aldo was way past his peak

@@obscureesoteric7213 It's not really our true nature, it's just a survival mechanism, sometimes you need total focus and a lack of conscious overwriting action. Flow state is sort of what our subconscious would do without the conscious aspect, action first and foremost, and you don't really realize what you are doing until the deed is done. You couldn't operate like that 24/7, for one, it wouldn't work well with a sapient mind, for two, it's very draining and difficult to maintain even at the best of times. It's easier to achieve if you train for it though, in martial arts and every other aspect of life, work out the right triggers and you can just fly through your work.

I remember watching this live and being sooooooo pumped and nervous and excited for Conor as he had been trying to secure this fight FOREVER and kept getting it cancelled last minute (Jose hurt a rib in practice or whatever else) so the fact that Jose had actually shown up this time was exciting and I was just wishing and sending Conor so much magical and awesome energy and as his fan at the time i remember thinking about what he must be thinking and feeling ... anyway the bell dinged and the fight started and I was hopping around in my living room alone watching and then BOOM!!!!!! I screamed and was so excited for Conor and Dee and his team as it was a long time coming and so well deserved. Then when they said 13 seconds or whatever I was like YES my lucky number hahaha .... But what I remember being even more impressed about was that Conor had taken time out of his training to go and help an event in Ireland to raise funds to help the homeless and it was barely even reported on. He certainly didn't draw press to it because that's not why he did it. He genuinely wanted to help. And ended up donating 50k to help fund the homeless medical care etc. (This was way before he got mega rich) ... anyway then after this fight and he finally beat Jose, instead of gloating and bragging online like others do ... and sadly how so many "fans" were picking on Jose, instead Conor posted about what a great champion Jose is and how he had so much respect for him etc etc etc. So yeah, Conor is one very special fighter and i will never forget this moment in History, along with his other awesome times on his journey to get where he is today.
Before he became a trump fan, I’m sure he wouldn’t do that now. It’s sad, I was a huge fan but have no respect for drumpfers
@@CoExist64 stop hating, start loving
Should’ve sent him that energy against khabib lmao
@@CoExist64 holy moly, you just called someone a drumpfer. It was stupid in 2016, so in 2022 it's simply pathetic.
Relax brooooo, breathe
Nothing will ever match the hype that was generated because of this moment. Not even Conor himself. Legendary.
I really miss this Connor. He was unstoppable. When he started boxing that's when his amazing technique suffered. Fck man I really hope he gets it back.
I loved his footwork back then! Not sure what happened to it but it seems light years away from that now
He envisioned and was practicing in his changing room moments before the fight, the exact movement and punch that knocked him out 🤯🤯
This is why McGregor is forever in our hearts
Most pivotal moment in modern mma history. Changed the fight game and the UFC’s trajectory into the mainstream in 13 seconds.
Absolutely. I remember never seeing mma ever on mainstream news here in Australia and this got covered
Celebration longer than the fight, dope to see this fight again
When life was good
Life will be good again after July 10 when the Mac lays Dustin to rest
@@kennycole9467 yessir
That's pretty pathetic.
I'm pretty sure life is good for him right now
@@kennycole9467 connors gonna get smoked. I don’t really care either way but he’s too rich to care anymore
He was humble he had empathy for Aldo in victory a different class of competitor back then.
Its easy to be humble when you are victorious. We saw how he acts when he loses
