The angles he takes, feints etc. Everytime someone really tries to engage him, either they get KOed like Costa and whittaker 1 unless they have chin like Kelvin. I remember during that class I had on a t-shirt with my college’s engineering school and when I was struggling with a concept he said to me “You’re an engineer right? Well you need to look at this like an engineering problem.” Made me appreciate the sport a whole lot more.

      @11lilreg11@11lilreg11 Жыл бұрын
    • @FuckMMAfans What utter gibberish. Izzy would make Alex look amateur. Alex would still have the size and power edge (indeed, it is because he walks around so much bigger that he'd struggle to make 185 and that means one day or rehydration wouldn't get him back to his normal walk around weight, leaving him weaker than Izzy, that'd make him more sluggish & easier to hit). But if you didn't know --- obviously you don't know --- that looking for hail mary one-punch KOs in the UFC against another elite is a fool's errand, then you will find out this Saturday. Alex is probably the only fighter at 185 whom Izzy doesn't have height, reach, and range advantage over; in addition, Alex is an exceptionally strong fighter. But if he wanted to be a UFC champ, he should have left Kickboxing 3-4 years ago, when Izzy left it. Now, it is too late; now he is more than 3-4 years behind Izzy in elite MMA development. In kickboxing, where there's 10 - 14 ounce gloves and standing 8 counts, Alex had the edge. As the physically stronger, he could endure more punches from those giant gloves. But even then, he's close to being KOed himself.... from a much more agile Izzy. That agility of Izzy has INCREASED, not decreased, when he transition to MMA, because in MMA there are more way to hit and to get hit, with NO standing 8 counts, separating pauses by the referee, etc. With 4 ounce gloves, and as elite fighters, whether you hit someone with a more moderate 90% power punch or a 100% power punch, if it lands, it WILL cause great harm. Izzy's MMA experience fighting against elite wrestlers (Romero, Brunson et al) and strikers (Vettori, Whittaker et al) in the last 3-4 years at the UFC will clearly show through Saturday. Alex ALWAYS will have that one-punch KO power; but the probability of landing against Izzy has DECREASED at the UFC, not increased, due to the lack of experience he has compared to Izzy, when it comes to doing elite MMA over years...

This is an exceptionally mentally and physically brutal sport... where hits and misses by flying fists & legs & elbows & knees of elite fighters --- in addition to submissions --- are in the millimeters or micro second, there is no reason to be "exciting" or tough guys, to make low IQ fans happy. A smart fighter wins fights & wins championships ANY WAY he or she can; and an EVEN SMARTER fighter does it with THE LEAST punches, kicks, elbows, & knees landing on his body....
