Yan vs Corey was one of the most intense and cerebral fights I’ve ever seen. Both dudes were moving lightning fast, striking hard and with precision for 25 mins.

THE FRESHMAN CAME TO PLAY! This was an insane year, back to back we had Yan - Sandhagen, Gaethje - Chandler and Holloway - Rodriguez. I'm willing to say that this year, at least for me, was the best year UFC gave us so far.
Max Holloway slipping those punches while looking at the booth is one of the coldest moments in all of UFC history. Breaking a UFC record while he was at it.

There is a reason this is only part 1. There is so much more than just this that took place this year. Truly an incredible year for the UFC and MMA as a whole.
I must say UFC and F1 this year have been phenomenal, two of the best years ever in each respective sport and as a massive fan of both I couldn't be happier!
Wanna thank the Ufc and all the great fighters!! Personally you guys have changed my life for the better.. You've entertained the world while there wasn't much to look forward to or even smile about for that matter.. Any yet Saturday after Saturday... Dana.. The Ufc.. It was definitely the most beautiful knockout. However, I think Francis' knockout on Stipe was more significant and it has created some really interesting matchups in the Heavyweight division.

What max did Kattar, should go down as performance of the next decade. What an incredible 2021 for the ufc all in all👌
Great performance yes, but we got deceived as to how good Max really was from that. We thought he hit a new level and would run right through Yair Rodriguez. But then we got a reality check, Max only looks that good when you allow him to snowball into his game. When he does he looks like a world beater. But you kick his legs, punch with him, go first and do anything to disrupt his rhythm he doesn't look quite as good as we saw in his most recent fight. Even though Max beat Yair, it was far from a dominant performance and if anything it was Yair whose stock went up.

@@Ozzyozzysheesh Yoel getting the title shot against Izzy was another instance of an undeserved title shot. The UFC catering to the champions wants and not vetoing their request out of hand. Masvidal should not have gotten a second title shot in a row, nor should have Holly gotten so many title shots. I don't want fighters getting title shots off of losses period. TKZ should get it over Yair as at least he's coming off a win.

Charles olivera congrats man...and remember to always fight hard.respect your opponent no matter how much you dont like him. Stay humble and win. That's the only thing every good fighter forgets. Wins go to their head and they reach the top and stop aspiring to get better....I hope you keep going man.
Poirier always wins when his opponents are strikers. It’s his bread and butter. It’s a different fight for him when he’s fighting a grappler. Khabib and Charles showed that. If you look at his wins at lightweight, you see names like gaethje, pettis, Eddie, Holloway, and Mcgregor. He couldn’t beat Khabib who was a grappler. He couldn’t beat Charles either. Grapplers keep him guessing. He can’t go all out because he might be taken down. He doesn’t fear that when he’s fighting a guy that’s a striker.
It's not just Poirier. Most strikers lose to grapplers, it's a bad matchup. Grapplers usually beat strikers and if they don't, then they must've been largely outclassed.
Oliveira beat him in striking too just by being so awkward lol. Just grabbing him then knees and elbows from all sorts of directions.

This time last year I was saying that 2020 had the best fights the ufc has ever had. Now 2021 tops that year easily. It’s crazy how UFC is getting better every year. Can’t wait for the next year. That batamweight division is so stacked right now really looking forward to the outcome by this time next year.

Man that Max performance was on a whole ‘notha level. It was a straight up spiritual experience. One of the best things I’ve ever witnessed. Crazy thing is round 1, round 5 don’t matter, he will still throw the same amount of output... absolutely insane
Him and Volk are like the ultimate rivals. Those dudes just don't get tired. Both of them FINALLY only got a little tired extremely late in Round 5 after beating the shit out of Kattar and Ortega respectively haha
I feel bad for Chandler. He’s a phenomenal fighter, who was literally seconds away from beating Oliveira, but didn’t because of the bell. He definitely deserves more chances… I can see that guy definitely holding the belt one day.
