Joe even said he thought Jan said that Ankalaev won but Jan said he 'didn't think he won' in other words a draw could be a good decision. Jan only said give the belt to Ankalaev after Joe made it clear he thought Ankalaev had won. Draw was a good decision imo 1-3 Blachowicz, 4-5 Ankalaev, round 5 10-8.

    • Round 1 JAN WIN Round 2 Jan WIN Round 3 Jan WIN Round 4 Ankalaev WIN ONLY TAKEDOWN Round 5 Ankalaev WIN ONLY TAKEDOWN Jan did damage to Magmed's legs to the point he was limping. Magomed had 2 take downs and control time but didn't do much with it. I'm guessing that's why it ended in a draw. the strikes on the ground were mostly blocked by Jan. Just because Ankalev got those takedowns and looked busy, doesn't mean they were effective. Don't get me wrong, I think Jan has serious issues with his ground game, but a draw was a good decision. Ankalev probably has a better chance of beating Glover. Look at it from the perspective of damage and you will understand why it was a good decision.

Then, instead of giving Jan any credit whatsoever he just says “where’s my belt, I want my belt!” For one, This wasnt even supposed to be a title fight and secondly, Jan battered you for the first 3 rounds. You only wrestled to survive and I don’t usually hate on wrestling but those last two rounds were a waste of a good fight. All 3 judges gave Jan round 1 (round 2 and 3 definitely Jan's), and 2/3 judges said that the 5th was a 10-8, so it seems to me that a 47-47 scorecard and a draw is the most reasonable scoring outcome?
