  • I remember almost everyone dismissing Rose's chances back then due to Weili's power and durability. KZhead polls were around 90%/10% in favor of Zhang, I was so confused why. Then Rose went ahead and ended it under 90 seconds lol.

  • You look at the way Rose hits pads and Wittman holds them to her. There is real pop in those punches. Compare it to some of these other female fighters, and it's like their trainers are feeding the pads to them to make it look and sound good. Classic example is Ronda.

  • I like Rose a lot, but I'm just a huge fan of Weili. I do agree she probably shouldn't have gotten this rematch, at least not over Esparza. That said, I'm gonna be rooting for her again. Not saying she'll win, but it should be a much more competitive fight this time around.

  • That flick of her head(Rose) downward to appear as though her kick was aimed low and then mid kick do a question mark style head kick is a thing of beauty. Zhang looked down and went into a check for a body kick. Dropping her guard and sticking her head in front of her body....perfect read on a flaw Zhang has. Every time someone throws low on Zhang she does that move.

  • I'm very mad that Esparza didn't get her Title shot, but I still like both of these fighters and I'm still excited for the rematch so I cant wait to see how this one goes because weili can 100% make adaptations, but Rose's footwork, agility as well as SPEED and Technique is crazy. Weili on the other hand has good power, good technique and Overall Is very well rounded. Can't wait to see how this one goes!

She clearly doesn't suck, she's underrated because her style isn't fan friendly. Carla has a better chance of beating Rose than Weili due to the stylistic clash. She also has a win over Rose some time ago, Rose wouldw ant to get that win back over here on the official record book.

He deserves it if all 3 of his fighters win huge fights on the same night. Eugene is a close second though. He's got 2 Champs and top contenders as well.

  • The lead up to and the fight itself gave Zhang Weili so much experience and insight. First, just loving the sport and spreading positivity isn't enough, you will encounter hate and ignorant people and you will be dragged down to the dirt by people who want you to stay down. My impression is she managed to realize this fact of reality, come back from it and renew herself with different perspectives on the fighting world. This fight is very much a mental game, and Zhang seems stronger than ever

But contrary to popular belief in the US, the majority of the world do in fact support these freedom movements. I've seen enough interviews with Zhang Weili after the Rose loss to get some insight into why she lost the mental fight last fight. Just taking her word for it - she wasn't used to that kind of external pressure and hate, and it impacted her at the time
