  • Alex face when Izzy said "you don't like me I don't like you but respect" shows he actually doesn't really feel that way but he was fine with not elaborating further because the language barrier so he just said respect.

    • It was really sad. Alex reacted to this fight much differently compared to the other ko. He actually aknowledge adesanya as a reason for his success and as a rival. He defined this as the hardest fight of his career and izzy as the greatest opponent, and for a guy straight forward as alex that mean that izzy represent a guy for which he has the utmost respect, even though he is a completely different person compared to him. It was sad seeing izzy in the press conference describing their interaction in a kind of mockery of alex accent, the dude never speak ebglish but came to him to try and interact anyway out of respect. That being said, it is easier being graceful in victory than in defeat (even though Poirier showed us that its not a guarantee)

    • For real! I got really emotional just now cause I realized that these fighters are getting older and wiser. We have gotten to see them go through the highs and lows. There were some pretty strong messages from the fighters and I loved it. Really awesome production and this is exactly what we deserve when we wanna see the thrill and the agony.

  • Literally going into the 5th round when Alexes corner was motivating him to finish the fight I got flashbacks to Leon Edwards vs Kamaru Usman. This is a wild year. Two of my favorite fighters finished in the last round after fighting so well. Hats off tho Alex🤝🏼

    • Dana doesn't allow people to build back up after a loss they way they do in boxing, Joshua will probably fight a lower ranking guy next in boxing. Wilder (3 ranking) just fought helanius (26 ranking) to get his mojo back. Woodley got thrown to the wolves constantly after losing the belt, it ended up destroying his career and legacy. Same thing has now happened to Reyes. Connor could use a lower ranking guy for his next fight now too.
