  • The fact that Olivera literally just walked down Gaethje with complete disregard for what was coming back at him was crazy.

    • I think thats how you need to approach Oliveira if you wanna win as a striker, like Gaethje was punching him so hard, Charles was still walking into him like nothing happened. Gaethje and Dustin were being TOO careful to not engage on the ground. Thats why I liked Chandler's fight against Charles, he was doing such a good ground and pound. Still Charles found another way to win. He always does.

  • The fact that Justin Gaethje has went up against dudes like Dustin Poirier, Eddie Alvarez, Michael Johnson, Edson Barboza, Tony Ferguson, Michael Chandler, and told Oliveira “you hit hard as shit!” Speaks volumes. Cause not only is Oliveira technically sound and skill with his hands but power behind them is dangerous. He’s even scarier grappling. I look forward to his fight with Islam Makhachev

  • The frustation from Wittman was crazy to see. All those weeks of grinding and drilling the gameplan into Gaejthe's head only for him to throw it out the window and start swinging like a madmen. Gaejthe is a great fighter and when he follows a gameplan, like with the Tony fight, he gives a nearly flawless performance. However the problem with Gaejthe is that as soon as he faces adversity, the dog inside him takes over and he starts brawling. As soon as Olivera landed his first punch, Gaejthe just lost composure and it was only a matter of time before he got finished. Olivera on the other hand is as technically proficient as a fighter can be. Even when he gets hurt, he never deviates from a gameplan and maintains his composure. He never fights with his ego. A lesser fighter would have rained down heavy GnP on Gaejthe after dropping him, potentially giving gaejthe and opening to stand back up and recover. Olivera went straight to his grappling fundamentals and finished the fight there. Man I love this sport.

Of course there's power but more contributing is his striking technique, the straight punches, the hooks, etc. are so so good. His relentless presure plus kicks to the body and knees puts the opponent in a panic mode. He's fearless if you ask me. Not a quitter anymore.

Never purposefully leave a fight so close in the hands of the judges when you can easily do more. I get it the game plan was to fight safe and avoid the takedowns, but her corner should gave clearly explained to her in between rounds that these rounds were so close the judges could see it any which way. They should gave told her, it’s fine to be cautious, but you have to make sure you are clearly winning each round.

    • It will be an absolutely stupid move to give title shot again to both these chokers like gaethje and dustin. They dont just choke... both of them got choked once by khabib and secondly by oliveira. Just give them mid ranked fighters and say farewell to them.... both of them can never ever get this belt.

  • Justin’s comment to Charles saying that he “hits hard as ****” is so satisfying to me. Now we know for a fact that Charles’s hits are on par with Chandler and everyone else in the division. If Gaethje says he hits hard, and Gaethje went three rounds in a war with Chandler, then we know for a fact that Do Bronx isn’t only technically near perfect but also hits incredibly hard. What a fantastic fighter and great event.
