That front kick knockout is still mind blowing to this day. Even joe couldn’t believe it, if you trained or competed in MMA you know how hard it would be to ever do that in a fight.
yeah it's really difficult to pull that off in a MMA fight. Anderson studied Belfort's body movement before that fight, he said to Minotauro, before the fight, that he would win with that kick.

Very good. Silva's greatness wasn't in his endurance or his ferocity or his punching power, Silva's greatness was with in his timing, distance management and creativity.
Nah, Jon Jones... GSP

Anderson still fights with 44, accepting fights of any magnitude, UFC wanted to fed him to the wolves with adesanya. @jomiloju ayodele .
@jomiloju ayodele 3 World Cups. 58,62,70 The player with more official goals in the history. Yes, Pelé is overrated
@jomiloju ayodele come on man. Most football greats acknowledge Pelé as the best of his era. He doesn’t stop being one of the GOATs just cuz the sport evolves past him
@jomiloju ayodele that's ridiculous, those are not the facts my guy. First off, he was Brazil's best player in 2 world cups (1958 and 1970) not just 1. Second, football was harder to play back then - terrible field conditions, heavy ball, heavy boots, no foul cards (Pele was hunted a lot) so you offside/var point is mute. Third, Brazilian league was the best at the time. Brazil had a bunch of superstars in several top teams (which is why the world cup team was so strong) and Pele beat all of them on a regular basis as the best player on the Santos team. He left to the US way pas his prime - his career there is irrelevant.
The beatdown he put on Forest Griffin will always be the most legendary showcase in MMA history. Sure Forest was never really elite, but he was solid in his prime and was a tough bastard, and Anderson went in there and absolutely embarrassed him.
@pTw Forrest has wins over Shogun and Rampage. I would say that makes him a very solid fighter.
Forrest is elite bro. The standards were different back then and he was in there
I was watching UFC when Forest Griffin came into the picture. Don't let the years passed by and competition today, sway your mind. He took that belt beating notable fighters, in their prime, in that era. You don't win belts being anything less. Forest Griffin was elite in that era. Anderson Silva was just ahead of the time is all. With Silva, we were watching the future of mma.
I will never forget how dominant he was on that ppv I was shocked 😲
Forrest was a true 205 lb er, former LHW champion who sadly went into this fight with probably the worst game plan ever
I think Silva's EQ is amazing. He has an ability to understand and mess with your mind. Alot of those guys probably felt beaten before they entered the cage which reflected how tense they were IMO.
He is the rare fighter who doesn't want to throw a single punch more than he needs to...
