It wasn't that dumb. Obviously Conor was taking way too much damage, but its not crazy to say that conor tried a similar gameplan against khabib that he used vs mendes. Khabib slowed down in the 3rd round a lot, but conor was too tired to really put it on him, and khabib seemed to have good conditioning, since he had enough in the tank in the 4th round to finish it. Honestly, although the fight wasn't close, you have to think that if khabib didnt get that takedown in the 4th round things would have been interesting. Say he takes some more body kicks like he did in round 3 and the beginning of 4, does he have enough left to keep going for takedowns? If conor won 3,4,5, he MIGHT have won on the scorecards, or maybe a draw. Overall though, Khabib is making a Jon Jones esque legacy for himself, and if he beats tony I think it would be a real debate between him and Jones for #1 p4p. I'd lean towards khabib since he has no history of PEDs. Ok im done.
