6:50 Man, Tim Sylvia was a beast. Had a broken radius bone from that arm bar and still managed to pick Frank up with that broken arm and slam him into the mat a few times before the referee stopped it in order to prevent Tim from doing greater damage to himself. I remember Tim actually fought with Herb over that stoppage and moved his arm around to prove it wasn't broken, but after the x-rays it was proven that it was broken, and Tim later thanked Herb for stopping it.

I think the ref didn’t know what a tap meant at the time because this was the first UFC event EVER and the rules were kind of obscure
@@hendogyt3354 U are absolutely right sir
@@hendogyt3354 WTF. He is the REFEREE.
@@ramon1930 the sport was really weird back then and that guy ended up being the goat of referies in most peoples opinion.
@@ramon1930 the rules were different then...
2:39 he totally tapped
2 times!!!! He tapped as soon as the arm bar was applied and then the ref stopped the fight cuz he TAPPED AGAIN!!!!
I think just after years and years of being in submitted positions it’s probably just muscle memory and he didn’t even realize he was tapping cause he was in such trouble

@Jack Walters lmao 😂
Yep he did.
2:38 the only man to lose twice in the same fight 3:17
Glad he did, what an absolute asshole!
Frank mir rolling with big nog was one of my favourite submission finishes
Glad to see this has 2 million views. The general population of MMA fans has come a long way with respecting the ground game.
Paul Millar Not all people.
Vince Haddad When I was young, I didn't get ground game as much as I do now. I loved the stand up action, as I grew up, I could only watch the brilliance of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu ground game, its amazing in MMA. And the submissions? Always great!
Not gonna lie when I was younger I just saw it as 2 men just like laying on each other which so I saw it as pretty gay but I really enjoyed the stand up work. As I've gotten older a respect the ground game much more.
Am i the only one who watched UFC in the mid 90's when there were no weight classes? But yeah soon the sport will become a major world tournament, i dont mean olympics, but in a class of its own
UFC is already growing each second, it will become the next big sport. Not only in U.S. but worldwide. It will be bigger than boxing.
Dude breaks his arm and carries on. Woot.
***** Tis but a scratch :|
David Santana. "Just a flesh wound"...
dougodude101 Or when Forrest Griffin got his left arm snapped then proceeded to knock out the guy with his right arm. Alpha as fuck
Isiah Daniels Technically, that's strangles you're thinking of. Most of the "chokes" in Judo, BJJ etc are incorrectly named chokes, but are actually strangles.
dougodude101 Power of the adrenaline. Try to sometimes get very angry and punch a wall or something and u will notice how much the pain comes behind after the punch.
Great compilation, would've liked to see Bisping vs St Pierre too
4:47 That shoulder got popped right out! God that must hurt! Respect for not wanting to tap out, but idk if gettin it go that far is the right choice tbf
they censored Nate's middle fingers on a show that promotes violence HAHAHAHAAHAHAHA
it doesn't promote violence smh
@@cvspvr It does, violence is the whole point of this

6:55 that "Oh shiiit!" from Herb
@@aimbot2441 he broke the arm, you can see it snap
Yeah, everyone booed him and he literally saved Silvya's arm from snapping in half. Even Tim says it in an interview
Where is the calf slicer from Brett Johns 🤔🤔🤔🤔
ManTheMan Frank Mir broke the most hands out of any UFC fighter, fuck frank mir
@Chad Barrett Yes I know that breaking someones arm is allowed, but why possibly take the risk of permanently damaging another fighter's arm and damaging their future? It's just a dick move.
I'm looking at that twister and thinking how good that back crack would feel
This video is pure history
0:37 no one gonna talk bout his arm?
He looks like an Anime character
Definitely on some type drugs early stages of the ufc wouldn’t doubt it
Roids
Pre Usada days my guy, he’s eating horse beef, chicken beef, all the beef 🤣
@apx. pegasus yea but still damn
To see Anderson make the Michael Jordan of Jiu Jitsu tap like that is a sight I'll never forget.
@Muhammad Awais michael jordan is considered the goat of basketball like anderson is the goat of mma
Matt Hughes awareness to switch to side control and step over the kamora attempt and lock the arm bar is unbelievable
the first frank mir one made me feel things ive never felt before.
Where the hell is Jon Jones choking Machida's life out while standing up? How many guys have ever been put to sleep on their feet?
Agreed. But it has happened a few times though
Daniel Lord I only remember 1 standing rear naked choke but I don’t know who performed it. Think it was in women MMA.
They have a separate video for standing RNC's now
That was a clean knock out in a submission technique not a submission .
We need Yuri Boyka in the UFC.😁
Anderson Silva is truly a legend in the sport. I honestly can see him being in every top 10 greatest moments or moves cause hes done so much. Hes definitely also in the greatest knockouts list.
The Hughes comeback is always a fave of mine 😁
Lmao bro silva was on this list three times and he's also got more striking highlights than probably any other ufc fighter
does anyone else squirm when you see the arm breaking armbars and kimuras? those look so brutal
Yep. Kimuras in particular always look really nasty.
More nasty than a Kimura looks a Omoplata
Best part was herb deans reaction to that dudes and being broken
2:54 Murilo Bustamante is without a doubt Luke Rockhold's unrecognized illegitimate father
Marco lol
Marco I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw that. It's uncanny to say the least.
hahaha I said the same thing when I saw him
His body is kind of like Rockhold's, and his face reminds me of Maia
I reckon he looks around the same age as Luke there too.
Watching Anderson Silva again makes me smile 😀
HOW DO YOU NOT ADD MIGHTY MOUSES SUPLEX TO AN ARMBAR!!?!
This video is from 2014
Man that twister was nasty! Beautiful move
THE COBRA TWIST!!!!
Jesus Christ lol.
@Et Immortalem You just said "There were tons of more superior moves displayed in the video" then followed up by saying "There is no single best move... The best move is the move that is best in the position you're in." While I agree with you that the twister isn't "higher level bjj", I don't see why you go out of your way to discredit Jung's perfect execution and then go on to contradict yourself. If you're a practitioner of martial arts, please treat yourself and the art with more respect by being instructive rather than smug and hypocritical.
Ya it's one of the most creative submissions in mma history
Et Immortalem bruh you know nothing you try the twister u would probably get reversed because you don’t know how to body lock and everything else on the list was stuff you learn on day one of being a white belt
the one guy who had the triangle and americana should have been number 1, that was impressive
he didn't complete it before the tap
abdikadir hashi still was the most impressive
I know right. He fcking double locked that guy. Even if it wasnt completed lock but still.
Not if you consider the context of the number one pick. Chael was dominating Anderson for over 4 rounds and they're both highly skilled on the ground, Anderson did so well to get that triangle in and effectively choke him out with it to defend his title in the fifth round. Also Chael apparently landed the most strikes in one fight ever.
i think that Mir submission on Nogueira is the best in MMA history because of the skill and the context
Remember watching Silva/sonnen live. Goosebumps when he threw that triangle after losing all 5 rounds to that point
Always gnarley to see a good ole' fashioned bulldog choke 🔥😅
Frank Mir is a monster.
+Shoqstahh Yeah he got lazy and now he's out of shape.
Alister overeem sure pounded the fuck out of Mir though.
Alex Faan I can't believe how much submissions royce gracie owns though
Alex Faan Marcio Cruz made him look like a bitch
No Antonio nuguera is this is beast he fighf at pride and ufc he's the heavyweight division
4:47 you can actually see his shoulder POP out of place
No you can't, cause it was the humerus breaking apart.
@@Bazelf yeah there are pictures of the scans
@@Bazelf the 4.47 one is Mir vs Big Nog. It is his shoulder dislocating. The humerus break is Mir vs Sylvia. That one is 6.47. Both very nasty looking.
@@Carpetslipper No dude, it is not the shoulder. Google "Mir x Big Nog humerus" and you'll see numerous reports about it.
@@Bazelf fair enough. Apologies. Just looks like his shoulder pops.
Carlos Newton’s arms are gigantic yet shredded unreal
Can’t believe chael made Anderson tap to those slaps to the leg! Undefeated legend!
This is more based on the situation than the submission itself. The twister was the best one
Agree. And its rarely seen.
+jm lopez You mean pretty much never seen. The Korean Zombie is the first and last person to submit someone in the UFC by way of Twister to this day
BrokenSpider ya... that is what rarely means
Who could be the next person to do twister?
It's the first time I've ever heard or seen it.. Lol

The guillotine that ended Jones vs Machida should definitely be in this
Herb Dean: "OH, SHIT!!"
I think Mir vs Nog is top 3 easily. So much technicality in that sequence.

hey what about Ken shamrock vs kimo 1 shamrock with the knee bar I don't care for the fighter too much but that one should be up on this list easy
