Jan had looked incredible up until this fight, something was definitely going on behind the scenes he looked a shadow of himself that night.

The main event is one you can’t bet on. Jiri has superior striking and power, but bad tdd and a non existent ground game. Glover Texeira has superior grappling and strength, but weak striking defense and simplistic tendencies when hurt. No idea who’s gonna win, but this fight is most likely ending in Round 1.

Noone talks about Weili getting that belt with several elbows to the back of the head of Andrade
It looks like the elbows were targeted and did touch the ear. Even though the strike had touched the back of her head. Refs typically don’t enforce the rule as long as the strike is also touching the ear. But I can’t completely tell where the 3 elbows were hitting because of the camera angle. I could be wrong but I could see many refs dealing with the situation in a similar way. That’s probably why the partly illegal strikes were allowed, simply because the elbow touch the ear. Not the elbow only struck the back of her head. But again, I can’t see a perfect visual.
This is what sucks about back to the head strikes using elbows full length and not 12 to 6 directional elbow strikes where only the elbow hits the target. The elbow strikes were side to side, making the strike hit multiple parts of the head.
Three, and some where against the side. She would have lost anyway with those brutal knees
