  • Overeem ranks first in significant striking accuracy in UFC heavyweight history at 73.4 percent. That was before his Walt Harris fight. The man is a SNIPER 73% while the ufc averages is in the 40%-50% striking accuracy. And as a Heavyweight, no less. Very impressive

    @gl7323@gl73233 жыл бұрын
  • The man has been knocked the fuck out 17 times throughout the course of a 20 year career, and still adds new elements to his game, still improves, still chases for titles, and has never been outside of the top 10 for his entire career. Alastair Overeem is a living fucking legend. Whoever your pick for heavyweight GOAT is, chances are they could never do that. And that's not even mentioning the fact that he was defeated a laundry list of MMA and K1 legends, as well as having been the Dream and Strikeforce champ, and winner of a K1 Grand Prix.

  • For those of you who are unaware of the Pride days, Kharitonov & Igor were straight killers. Those are big wins over very dangerous guys. Kharitonov is still a very good heavyweight. And for those of you who just think Reem ballooned up overnight, the Khraitonov fight shows him at 228 -- a transition from light heavywieght to what he became later. Don't dismiss all of his bulk as steroids. He changed his diet & training regimen and also has worked very hard to build up his mass. He only got caught for illegal substances once in over 30 years. How do you explain his bulk for all the other times he fought & tested clean? The juice talk is getting a bit old, I think. Give him his credit.
