    • I kinda agree looking back at this. Amazing how you can forget exactly how a fight went down in 4 min. I always remember how it ended, because it's what made Lesnar be smart and move back to WWE. Even that ish is unbearable to watch. I remember a interview where Lesnar was asked what are his comments on Dana White saying 🤔 WWE is fake? Lmao. The thing is people are super retarded on this planet, because wrestling isn't fake. It's just choreographed set of moves and stunts done to make it a show. Because what show is real? Reality shows are scripted BTW. They don't really mean anything said in the show. They are given a script to follow, in order to make it a 30 minute show. Talk about having no IQ lmao Dana White. But Lesnar face basically said what I just said here, during that questioning. And his response was something like = Vince pays more, and he gets longevity out of it. And when I saw this fight back then and then that interview, I had new respect for Brock. At 1st I thought he was just a coward running back to Vince McMahon, but I was wrong. He suffered another abdomen injury from this fight that shelved him for a while, similar to CM Punk being away for 7 years. But Brock was also implying that Dana White is just a hater because Vince McMahon is wealthier and more successful than him. 😶😶😆🙆‍♂️ And fast forward some years later, and multiple people and known sources have questioned Dana White on sports salary wages percentiles. UFC is the lowest. NFL pays players 48% NBA I think is above 50%, MLB 50%, WNBA 27%, MLS 25%-44% (with Investor-Operators share 30% in ticket sales). But people have been saying fighters don't get paid right in the UFC so I don't understand. I even seen a clip where some of these fighters I felt bad for man. They admitted that Dana White don't pay them right or provide good health insurance coverage for them risking their lives to entertain us inside the octagon. One fighter I forget, he said Dana White paid him only $10,000.00USD during his title match. And he suffered brain injuries he said and he said Dana didn't cover him on his health to protect him. He was asked more questions relating to money and he told the reporters he is flat broke. He said this with his fight gear on, meaning this was a post fight interview. Meaning this is him being interviewed after his fight. That's some fucked up shit on Dana White part. Multiple people who personally know Dana, said here on KZhead that he is money hungry and cares only about him and his company he built from the gutter to his success. He turned UFC around when people didn't care to know what UFC was. But Dana White man is just a special case. Paying his fighters 12% while he keeps 88% to himself. I can honestly see it true at this point in time. Dana proves I'm correct about all of this. Dude has dodge that question more than 30 times. You guys can look it up for yallselves on here. It's some funny shit when you see Dana face go blank on those questions of under paying his fighters and not providing good protection plans for his fighters health and well-being.

      @wdmoxley@wdmoxley3 ай бұрын
    • @@wdmoxleyIt's probably true that he came along at the right time. But it's also true that his strength and athleticism DID enable him to pull it off, along with whatever cocktail of drugs he was taking. Weight/size advantages are not straightforward. A lot of UFC heavyweight champions have not actually been that big, either in terms of height or weight. Stipe, for example, although around 6'3 or 6'4 is fairly lean, and has weighed in as low as 230lbs. Velasquez is squat, and hardly of monstrous proportions. Werdum is, what, around 6'3'', but sometimes weighed around 230-240lbs. Does Santos roughly the same. Then you have someone like Cormier, who beat most heavyweights he faced, and is about 5'9''. Obviously very talented. But small, although not light. Many past and present UFC heavyweights are obviously big, and certainly large compared the the average Joe. But to my knowledge, most of the top heavyweights have never been huge guys. Prime Fedor wasn't particularly big either. Big monsters have never ruled the division.

That's the reason why brock was so protective of his abdomen when Allister kept kicking and kneeing him there. If he didn't need surgery back then brock could have continued being the champ at least until usada came around.

  • I've followed the UFC since day one. From the beginning I tried to get people into it. It was not easy. Back then, for the most part, pro wrestling, kick boxing and tough man competitions were all people knew outside of boxing. Most people didn't understand grappling at that time so they equated it with pro wrestling. It took a lot to convince people that the UFC and other events (or NHB, No Holds Barred, the term used prior to MMA) wasn't pro wrestling. Years later, when it was finally breaking through, I could not have been more disappointed when the UFC signed a pro wrestler, shooting him straight to the top. Pride was already ruining its reputation with fixed fights and pro wrestlers. It undermined everything the sport had been about and everything I tried to convince people it wasn't. I do give Brock credit since he worked on his skills and tried to improve. He did well when his opponent was much smaller then he was. Fighting someone his own size and also juiced... not so much. Alistair proved that.

    @aaronjones6680@aaronjones66809 ай бұрын
    • See what you’re saying since everyone equated pro wrestling to MMA back then but at the same time they needed star power and like you said Brock actually took the sport seriously and was actually a real amateur wrestler and ncaa champion, so even if he didn’t have the name still probably would’ve gone far but not been propelled as fast tbh would’ve liked to see if they hadn’t just shot him up the ranks so fast and gotten more experience

    • @@emrebayram1778 TBF u cant say Brock wasnt on roids too. And this was post-surgery so he was medically cleared to fight, and he wouldnt hv fought if he didnt feel right. In any case it was clear from the get-go Reem was walking down Brock with his hands down, with zero respect for his striking. And finished the fight with a precision liver kick. Brock deserved to be HW champ. But he won with weak competition (an undersized and way off his prime Randy) and quickly became irrelevent once Cain, Reem & Co showed up
