    • There’s a reason to be. If any champion in this era would become a double champ, it would be Izzy. Also, Jan confirmed it was a question and not a statement. Cant blame the face of UFC for tryna to create greatness again. It’s not like Jan was +500. The man ended up being +200. Not bad. He didn’t dominate Izzy either. He played it smart & beat Izzy. It’s crazy because I think the Yoel Romero fight exposed Izzy the most and which is why I leaned more towards Jan when we got closer to the fight. Just a bad year for Dana, all his cash cows are falling apart. I guess it’s karma though for doing non prime time fighters dirty. Khabib retired, Conor taking L’s, Izzy losing/putting on boring fights, Usman still not as popular, Jon being a diva. Cant even usher a new era cus these guys are still in effect

    • @@double0double0 Nonsense. This fight showed Izzy has a ton of work to do on his wrestling. A lot of his "double-champ" hype was wishful thinking. If there's any champ who's got a shot at being a double champ it's probably Yan (not technically the champ, but you know). Not saying he'd beat Volk but he'd got the best shot out of all the current champs. After that, maybe Usman, though his bullying-style wouldn't be nearly as effectivre up a weight class.

    • I get what you mean, but nothing seemed that different from any other MMA fight. That seemed like usual run of the mill rounds where one guy was clearly the victor. Clearly being the victor of the round doesn’t warrant a 10-8, a 10-8 is meant for complete domination. Jan won the rounds he won, but nothing resembled a absolute beat down. There was barely any ground and pound, and the judged don’t score for what “could have been” if the bell saves someone. Jan won, but nothing was close to a 10-8. If that’s the case half the card tonight deserves 10-8s.

Jan waited to the last 15 seconds in each round to advance position. Props to him for using his brain but people acting like he dominated any round, even the one's where he had top ground position are reaching. That's always been the problem with wrestling in this game. Hold as long as you can and wait out the clock while hoping the ref doesn't stand you up. To me that was a disappointing fight. Hell, all 3 champ fights were disappointing. At least with Nunes you kind of knew the odds were in her favor to dominate. With Yan and Sterling, I saw a boxer wait for his opponent to gas and then the knee. Its like this guy wanted to lose his belt. Sad night for a supposedly stacked card.

Dana gets mad and does this any time a cash cow loses. There might be a reason 2 judges though the 5th was a 10-8... Jan had more control time in the 4th round, yet no judges scored that a 10-8... and that's because Izzy was having comparable success on the feet until he got taken down, while he was less effective in the 5th on the feet than any other round, landing fewer strikes than any other round' at a lower percentage than any other round. And he got controlled *without answer* for the last half of the round. In fact, Izzy got out-struck EVERY SINGLE ROUND, including the third. • Look, when are we going to score rounds as even? You can't give a round to someone because they scored a leg kick or a jab over the opponent, i could not give izzy 2 rounds just like i cannot give jan 4 rounds, if you look at the stats jan in the first three out struck izzy but izzy did more work, how about you give a round a piece and one is scored a draw then the other 2 are clear round for jan, that's it for me 3-1 for jan, this is fair, no 10-8 rounds in that fight.
